Microblading

Mircoblading is a form of tattoo artistry where pigment is implanted under the skin with a manual handheld tool. Hair-like stokes are added to the skin to mimic natural brow hairs resulting in fuller looking brows with an enhanced shape.

Who can benefit from Microblading?

  • Someone with thinning brows due to the natural aging process, over tweezing, over waxing, alopecia, specific medications, chemotherapy, radiation, Trichotillomania.

  • Someone who wants to enhance their face and frame their eyes. Brows can give you an instant “eye Lift”. Fuller brows are a sign of youth.

  • Someone who has difficulty achieving beautiful brows with traditional cosmetics. This can be due to lack of application confidence, unsteady hands or vision trouble.

  • Someone who wants waterproof brows! If you are an avid user of brow products, chances are you have experienced one of the following: brows sweating away at the gym, washing away in the pool or fading away at the beach.

  • Someone who wants to save time. Wake up with makeup! Spend a little more time with your family or drinking your morning coffee instead of penciling in those brows every morning.

Does it hurt?

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different. I am a baby when it comes to pain and I have had it done numerous times. I will never miss one of my touch-up appointments! I use topical numbing ointments throughout the entire procedure to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. Most people say that they feel a mild scratching sensation or nothing at all. Schedule an appointment and I will send you a list of pre-procedure instructions to follow to ensure that you have the best experience possible.

Is it safe?

Microblading is very safe when performed by a licensed professional and someone with in depth knowledge of the skin. I am a licensed esthetician. I had my studio specifically built according to the North Adam’s Board of Health rules and regulations. Safety and sanitation is my #1 concern. My procedure room is specifically used for permanent cosmetics and nothing else. When in this room, you will see the use of gloves, face masks, barrier tape, sharps containers, disposable/one-time-use tools, non-porous surfaces, stainless steel sinks, etc. I have obtained a practitioner’s permit for body art as well as a permit for having a body art establishment in the city of North Adams. I am properly insured with PPIB, the Division of SPG Insurance Solutions LLC.  I am CPR certified and have completed Blood-borne Pathogen training with the American Red Cross.

If you are considering microblading or any other type of permanent cosmetic, please, do your research! This is a tattoo. This is your face. This involves breaking of the skin. It is not a service that falls under the Board of Cosmetology. It is invasive and should be taken seriously. Make sure you are in the hands of someone with the proper credentials.

How long does the procedure take?

The procedure takes approximately 2 hours. The actual microblading is only a fraction of the procedure. Time will be spent mapping and drawing an outline of the brows for the best-desired shape. We will choose a color together.  Numbing cream will be applied and let sit for a minimum of 20 minutes. I will answer any questions that you may have. This is not a procedure that should be rushed. If it takes 3 hours, that is OK. I book all appointments with a generous amount of buffer time in between.

How much does it cost?

Microblading is $600. This includes your initial appointment as well as your touch-up appointment. Payment is non-refundable. I accept cash, check and all major credit cards.

Please arrive to your appointment 10-15 minutes early so that you have time to fill out all required paperwork.
